This is a Mom and Pop place. Very local abierto outside of Downtown Waco. The prices could surprise you but the food is really good and fresco. The kabob is big and enough for a person, the rice is super fluffy, and the salad is super fresh. I wish that I had found this place before and it would be a repeater.

We were a bit skeptical when we pulled up at 630pm and there were no cars in the parking lot but decided to try it anyway. So glad that we did! The dinning area was clean and the kitchen door was open. We could see two ladies in the kitchen preparing food as well as what appeared to be the owner. He washed hands and came out of the kitchen to greet us with a huge smile as he was drying his hands on the towel hanging from his apron. Our food portions were generous and so delicious! Several more patrons arrive and it was not long before the place was full. In the true Greek fashion there was lots of kind greetings as each customer entered and our worries of the day melted away as laughter filled the room from each of the different tables. This is definately a hidden gem!

D's came highly recommended by all my Waco friends, so I had to check it out. The food at D's in my opinion is better than 99% of the places I tried out in the Mediterranean and Middle East! I got the chicken wrap, and the chicken is soooooo juicy, and the char is so yummy! The wrap is so chewy and such a good compliment to the chicken and veggies inside. Local family feel, and the owners are so sweet! Don't be surprised if the customers start a conversation with you while you wait for your food. This place feels like you're being invited to eat a meal at your grandparent's house. Note: Parking is limited but you should be able to drive around and find parking in the neighborhood nearby.

Kind of off the freeway but it has old world charm. It was worth the drive for a nice lunch break. Clean restrooms, pretty mural in the dining room and food cooked fresh while you wait. We will save this as a spot to stop whenever we are driving through from Dallas to Austin.
